St Clarets seniors signed off on 2025 in style by inflicting a one point defeat on Tara GFC, the reigning British champions’ only defeat of the season.
An inspired performance from 15 St Clarets heroes ensured the men conclude our golden anniversary year with silverware to show for their efforts.
Mikey Lavelle’s last gasp point secured a 1-13 to 0-15 victory with the final kick of the game.
Daryl Maguire led the line expertly, scoring 1-06, while PJ Meehan was in inspired form between the uprights as he stepped into the breach and kept a clean sheet. But the lads were heroes one and all and it was a fitting end to a season where we contested 3 finals in the 4 competitions we competed in.
